Effective date: 22 October 2026 · Offered by: Embiggen Consulting LLP
NextKadam is a learning platform run by Embiggen Consulting LLP, Chennai, India. In this policy, "we" means Embiggen Consulting LLP.
This policy says what personal data we collect when you use NextKadam, why we collect it, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have.
Effective date: the day this policy is published on NextKadam.
We collect only what we need to run NextKadam. Here is the full list.
We do not collect your card or bank details. See "Payments, invoices and refunds".
We use it to run NextKadam for you. Nothing more.
Some features use AI. When you submit written work for review, write a reflection, use a tool such as the Bias Assessment or Five Whys, or ask the help chat a question, we send your text to Anthropic, the company behind Claude. It writes the feedback or the answer.
We send your text only to get your feedback or your answer. We do not use it to train any AI model. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not train on it and normally deletes it from its systems within 30 days.
AI can be wrong. Please do not type sensitive details into free-text boxes, such as health information, ID numbers, or private details about other people.
We may also read your work and add our own comments. Anthropic is based outside India, so this text leaves India when it is sent.
We send updates only to reach out to you about NextKadam.
The emails that run the service are different. These are sign-in codes, receipts, invoices, refund vouchers, Fireside confirmations, and notes about courses you bought. We send them even if you unsubscribe from updates.
We keep our customers, members and people who have signed in in Zoho Bigin, our contact system. We use it to support you and to send these updates.
The first time you sign in with an email code, we add you to Zoho Bigin straight away, before you finish your profile or use anything: your email address, the first part of it as a temporary name, and the tag "NextKadam Signed In". When you finish your profile we add the tag "NextKadam Member" and replace the temporary name with the name you gave, but only if the name in Bigin is still the temporary one.
Each time you buy or use a course, a Fireside session or a tool, we also add one short note to your record in Zoho Bigin: the date, whether it was free or paid, and the name of the course, session or tool, for example "2026-10-22 | Free | Tool | Cognitive Bias Assessment". The note never contains a coupon code, your email address or anything you wrote.
When you use a course, a Fireside session or an AI tool, whether you paid, used a coupon or used your free session, we add a general tag to your record in Zoho Bigin: "Product - Course", "Product - Fireside" or "Product - Tool". The Signal Reading Check, which is always free, gets the tag "Free tool". The tags do not name the course or the tool.
We use these services to run NextKadam. They work for us. Each one handles your data only for the job shown below. We do not sell your data, and we do not give it to anyone for their own use.
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Neon (PostgreSQL) | Accounts, profiles, purchases, bookings, sign-in sessions, your work and write-ups | Stores our database |
| Sanity | Course content, and files you upload | Content and file storage |
| Mux | Video playback requests | Video hosting and secure playback |
| Brevo | Your email address and the emails we send you | Sends sign-in codes, receipts and other service emails |
| Zoho Bigin | Your name, email, enquiries, product and free-tool tags and your choice about updates | Our contact and customer records, replies, the updates we send you |
| Razorpay | Your name, email and order details, including a Fireside note you add; your card or bank details go straight to Razorpay | Takes payments and refunds |
| Anthropic | Text you send for AI feedback or the help chat | Writes AI feedback and answers |
| Vercel | Routine technical logs, including IP address | Hosts the website |
We also receive emails about enquiries, bookings and payment problems. These contain the details you gave us.
For quality review, we receive a copy of the result report of Five Whys and Bias Assessment.
Some of these services store or process data outside India. Our database runs in Singapore. Anthropic is based outside India.
We may share data if the law requires it.
Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway, handles all payments. You enter your card and bank details directly in Razorpay's secure screen. We never see them and never store them. Razorpay's own privacy policy covers that data.
We issue a tax invoice for every payment. A purchase that costs nothing, because of a coupon that brings the total to zero or a free session, has no payment, so it has no tax invoice and no refund voucher. If we refund you, we issue a refund voucher that refers to the payment or invoice. If you pay twice by mistake, we refund the extra payment and record it with a refund voucher.
We email you your invoices and refund vouchers. Please keep them for your own records. We keep copies as the law requires for our own accounts. The refund terms for each product are shown where you buy it.
We keep data only as long as we need it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to pgs@embiggen.co.in.
| Data | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it |
| Your work, write-ups and feedback | Until you ask us to delete them, or your account is deleted |
| Purchase and booking records, certificates | While you have a purchase, booking or certificate on record |
| Invoices and refund vouchers | We email them to you to keep. We keep copies as the law requires for our own accounts |
| Coupon and free-session records, including the cleaned email | Until you ask us to delete them. If we delete your account, we may keep the cleaned email and the use record, so that a limit cannot be reset by signing up again |
| Sign-in sessions and codes | A session lasts 7 days and renews while you use the site. A code works for 10 minutes and only once. We store only a scrambled form of the code |
| For quality review, we receive a copy of the result report of Five Whys and Bias Assessment. | In our mailbox, until you ask us to delete it |
| Contact messages and customer records in Zoho Bigin | Until you ask us to delete them |
| Help-chat messages | We do not store help-chat messages. If you press the button to ask for a person, we email your question and email address to ourselves. That email stays in our mailbox. |
| Backups | Our database provider keeps recovery copies for a short time, at most 30 days, and then they expire |
You can ask us to:
Write to pgs@embiggen.co.in. We will reply within 7 business days in India. You can withdraw your agreement to updates at any time, by using the unsubscribe link in any update email, or by writing to us.
If you are not happy with our reply, write to us again and say that you want to raise a complaint. Subramaniam P G, who runs Embiggen Consulting LLP, answers privacy complaints himself. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act allows.
Children. NextKadam is for working adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their data, write to us. Please send proof that the person was a child, as defined by the laws of India, when the data was shared. We will then delete it.
Security. We use well-known services, keep access to your data limited, and ask for a one-time code instead of a password. No system is perfectly safe. If something goes wrong with your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For a big change, we will also email people who have an account.
For any privacy question, write to pgs@embiggen.co.in.
